Nurturing Potential, Shaping Futures

At Ruiru Fairview Academy, our story is one of unwavering dedication to educational excellence and holistic student development. Founded in 1998 by Mr. Peter James Kang’ara Chebe, a visionary educator with a profound love for children and a wealth of experience from Kenyatta University, our journey began with a simple yet powerful mission: to make quality education accessible to all children.

From our humble beginnings as a kindergarten, we have blossomed into a thriving full primary school, proudly educating over 350 pupils. We are inspired daily by the success of our first pupil, Jewel W., who remains an active alumna of RFA, embodying the lasting impact of our foundational years.

Our guiding principle, "Strive for Excellence and Care for the Environment," is more than just a tagline; it's the bedrock of our educational philosophy. We are committed to nurturing every child's potential, ensuring they excel not only academically but also grow spiritually, morally, and with a deep sense of environmental responsibility.

We take immense pride in our consistent track record of academic success. Year after year, our students demonstrate exceptional performance in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination. In the 2013 KCPE exams, our academy achieved an impressive mean score of 350, with our top student gaining admission to Thika High School. Our commitment to preparing students for bright futures is further exemplified by our top student in 2015, who went on to study at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan. Our pioneer candidates are now flourishing in various leading universities across Kenya and around the world.

We believe in fostering a global outlook in our students. This commitment extends to providing unique international opportunities:

  • Global Youth Eco-leadership Summit (GYELS): In 2016, our pupil, Peter, proudly represented both Kenya and Africa at the GYELS in Seoul, South Korea, an initiative sponsored by Samsung Engineering and UNEP.
  • International Essay Competitions: Our students actively participate in and have been recognized in prestigious events like the Trust for Sustainable Living International Essay Competition, leading to invitations for debates and award ceremonies in Oxford, England (2015).
  • International Collaborations: We welcome visitors from around the world, such as the representative from the Spanish Embassy in March 2024, enriching our students' understanding of diverse cultures and global perspectives.
